In the heart of a picturesque town surrounded by lush hills and fertile valleys, my wife as pharmacist and me as electrical engineer, decided to embark a remarkable journey of sustainable economies and dive headfirst into the world of apple farming.

 

We are placed in the heart of Šumadija region of central Serbia, where natural landscape combines the beauty of wooded areas, fertile plains, and flowing rivers, creating a region that is not only agriculturally significant but also culturally and visually appealing. The harmony between nature and human settlements adds to the region's charm and allure.

 

Immediate vicinity of village Orašac, which holds historical significance as the birthplace of Karađorđe Petrovic (in 1768) who became the leader of the Serbs in their struggle for independence from Ottoman rule. He also played a crucial role in organizing First Serbian Uprising against Ottoman rule in the in 1804 and establishing the modern Serbian state.
